Peter Gross Bau is synonymous with comprehensive building competence, reliability and strength of innovation all under one roof. Our family company has been an established influence in the construction sector for more than 130 years. We specialise in all areas of construction and civil engineering and all other areas of the construction world. Peter Gross Bau has become active throughout the country in the space of four generations, with 450 employees and numerous branches, subsidiaries and affiliated companies. Today, the entire group of companies in the Gross Construction Group has approximately 1,000 employees. We are proud of our many years of business relationships and our countrywide reputation. As one of the mainstays of the powerful Gross Construction Group, we are equipped for all the challenges in the modern world of construction. We are both dynamic and flexible, while remaining loyal to the traditions of our founders: as a value-oriented, responsible and fair construction partner, we stand 100% behind our projects.

In 1885, the master mason Peter Gross senior founded his independent construction business in St. Ingbert.

The company’s founding day is documented by the certification of membership of „Bayrische Baugewerksberufsgenossenschaft, Regierungsbezirk Pfalz“
In 1908 the master mason Peter Gross junior took over his father’s well-established business. Six years later, the company already had 100 employees.

After the Second World War, all signs were pointing towards a new start. Dipl.-Ing. Ottmar P. Gross, son of the company owner and grandson of the founder, joined the company in 1950.

The Gross Construction Group was now established on the market and acquired interests in companies such as Wilhelm Füssler Bau and Bautrans in Karlsruhe, Matthias Strobel on Lake Constance and Theisinger & Probst Bau in Pirmasens in the following years.
